The dream start to the stud career for Victorian stallion Purrealist (Makybe Stud) has continued with Pure Whisper winning at Doomben on Saturday, the Group III winning son of Tale of the Cat (USA) now sitting atop the Australian First Season Sires List by earnings.
Both Pure Whisper trained by Gillian Heinrich and Pure Hustle trained by Gai Waterhouse will continue on to January's $2m Magic Millions 2yo Classic.
Gillian Heinrich, who won the 2010 Magic Millions 2YO Classic with Military Rose, said Pure Whisper was open to a lot of improvement.
"He's a big horse and he's showed speed from day one. I hadn't barrier trialled him but I gave him a jump out and he led."
"He's a lovely horse. I could find another run for him shortly or because he's so big it might be best to rest him.”
Heinrich Bloodstock purchased Pure Whisper for $170,000 at the 2011 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale.
He was offered by Tony Santic's Makybe Stud in Victoria where Purrrealist is standing at a fee of $8,800.
