MAKYBE bred Reconcentrate pulled off her second metropolitan win at Sandown today in the Mistress Anne mares 0- 78 hcp 1200m. Reconcentrate is by Reset out of Border Reverie (Selkirk). Border Reverie's dam is half sister to Jeune the triple Gr 1 winner and Australian Horse of the Year.
In the race prior to Reconcentrate a high class field of fillies with big spring ambitions on the minds of their connections lined up in the three year old fillies A.R. Blackwood 0-68 HCP over 1400m. The MAKYBE bred runner up Preventable by Anabaa out of Avert (Zabeel) showed she is on track this campaign and Mick Price will certainly find a nice race for her. Avert is out of the New Zealand One Thousand Guineas, Gr 1, winner Clear Rose.
Both Border Reverie and Avert were served by Purrealist in his first season last year and are booked to go back to him this year. These quality mares are just two of the 118 mares served by Purrealist in his first season including Bardego, a Group winner and dam of exciting 2YO Delago Bolt; Gold Anthem, dam of stakes performers Gold Chant and the brilliant, Group winning colt, STARSPANGLEDBANNER and Calm Smytzer, 8 times stakes placed race mare and dam of 2 winners in Copybook and 2YO Quietzer.
