THE DIVA RETURNS HOME TO MAKYBE
1 March 2008
Australia's favourite champion mare and new proud mother, Makybe Diva, finally returned home to Geelong last month with her magnificent bay colt by Galileo at her side.
Both have settled extremely well after an extended stay in the Hunter Valley due to the EI outbreak. Looking every bit the queen, Makybe Diva, strolled of the float with her famous ears pricked returning in fabulous shape after being under the care of the Coolmore team.
Makybe Diva will soon be separated from her first born as weanling time approaches. Now in foal to Fusaichi Pegasus who was one of the fastest & easiest G1 Kentucky Derby winners ever.
In Australia he is the sire of outstanding racehorse HARADASUN, winner of the Gr.1 Doncaster and Gr.1 George Ryder over the Easter Carnival in 2007. Other 2007 performers include FLORAL PEGASUS (Gr.1), FLYING PEGASUS (Gr.2), TIPUNGWUTI (Gr.2) and JUST DANCING (Gr.2). In the USA he has G1 winners BANDINI and ROMAN RULER.
There is no doubt that this lad deserved the date with our girl and we look forward to the new arrival later in the year.
